Sthanika Basti embodies the synergistic confluence of two fundamental Ayurvedic therapies: Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (fomentation). Warm, medicated oils, meticulously chosen based on your specific needs, are applied liberally to the designated region. To further enhance penetration and amplify the therapeutic effect, a dough dam, meticulously crafted from black gram flour, is meticulously constructed around the oiled area. Chronic Joint Pain, Muscle Stiffness and Spasms, Sciatica, Lumbago (Low Back Pain): Neuralgia (Nerve Pain). Kati Basti: Warm medicated oil is applied to the lower back and contained by a black gram flour dough dam. Janu Basti: The knee is enveloped in warm medicated oil and surrounded by a black gram flour dough dam. Greeva Basti: Warm medicated oil is applied to the neck and contained by a black gram flour dough dam.
